Horse Shows
Bowden Photography knows Horses! Andrea began riding at the age of 8 and has been involved with horses in some way ever since. In college she was a member of the St. Andrew's Equestrian Team and showed on their Intercollegiate Horse Association (IHSA) team from 1998-1999 as well as their Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) Team from 1999-2001. She also participated in the "Ride Like a Knight" Therapeutic Horse Back Riding program. After that she was a dressage instructor at MacNair's Country Acres and studied under Caroline MacNair and Nancy Demus.
Because of Andrea's extensive equine background, Bowden Photography prides itself on the fact that they offer superior quality equine photography with out using a flash in the show arena. We know that getting that perfect picture won't mean a thing if the photographer's flash causes a horse to spook.
Although Andrea's passion is the heart pounding action of Combined Training, she still enjoys capturing the sophistication of the Hunter ring and the elegance of the Dressage ring.
Andrea is one of the four North Carolina members of the Equine Photographers Network.

Thats why at Bowden Photography we take the time to talk with you to find out what you have in mind for your pictures. Whether its on location or or in a studio, we want to provide you with a portrait that you will be proud to hang on your wall for many years to come.
But the star treatment doesn't stop at the end of the photo shoot. We will sit down with you and enhance your pictures so that they are perfect for you. Not only that but your portrait sitting will be available to view for six months after the original sitting. This means that if you didn't order enough wallet size pictures, you can order more. And as always, all private shoots are password protected.
By using the industries leading software and digital equipment, we are able to help you relive one of the most important days of your life.
We specialize in photo journalistic style that captures the event as it unfolds. Formal poses can be bone before or after the ceremony.
